Toy Story 3 Trailer

Pixar’s Toy Story 3 is all set to win some awards next year. The huge cast of talent is back for more action, and includes Tom Hanks, Tim Allen, Don Rickles, and Michael Keaton. The script was written by an Oscar winner Machael Arndt. The orginal Toy Story movie was released in 1995, with the follow up in 1999. Toy Story grossed $192 million ($361 million worldwide), where # 2 grossed $246 million ($500 million worldwide). Will part three rake in $300 million or more? It’s hard to fault Pixar for giving it a shot with such huge profits at stake. The budget for part 1 was $65 million, with part 2 costing $125 million.

Sounds to me like it’s a golden opportunity, how could Pixar lose? If they just keep cranking out children’s animated feature length films, they will keep printing money like there is no end in sight. Pixar’s graphic and story quality are best in the industry, which really helps there chances of success. But honestly, when is the last time a movie like this lost money?

Most Popular Seinfeld Episode

After searching the internets exhaustively, I’ve come to the conclusion that the most popular Seinfeld episode is the Soup Nazi. Seinfeld ran for nine seasons, airing for the first time in 1989. It is still in active syndication, with tons of DVD’s and even board games released. Jerry Seinfeld was born in 1954. In 1998, Jerry earned $267 Million from Seinfeld. Think about that for a minute. That’s his take for one year. It was reported that he earned $10M for appearing in Windows commercials with Bill Gates.

Given that the Soup Nazi is making millions of dollars for the Seinfeld crew even years after it was made, maybe it was the hit of a lifetime!

Jim Carrey Tops Box Office

I was surprised to hear that Jim Carrey’s “Yes Man” topped the box office this weekend with $18 Million dollars. There have been huge snowstorms all over the United States, so this has hampered movie theater attendance. Yes Man played in 3,434 theatres and averaged $5,288 per theater.

Carrey was born January 17, 1962. He’s been making people laugh his whole life. I think the first movie I saw him in was “Once Bitten”, which was a comedy about vampires costarring Lauren Hutton. He has actually won two Golden Globes awards.
